About Kim Johnstone

Comp Nsg, Dip Psychosynthesis Couns, CDWF, CRSF (Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, Certified Rising Strong™ Facilitator)

When Kim first left school, she trained as a Comprehensive (general/obstetric/psychiatric) nurse, and followed her natural affinity into the area of Mental Health.  Very quickly though, she became disillusioned by the very limited way in which people were helped, so she left working in the caring professions, instead following her entrepreneurial inclinations and owning her own very successful businesses for many years.  During this time she and her partner raised their two children.  Although Kim did not work with clients for many years, she always pursued her own growth journey.

In 1998 Kim and her family where involved in a very serious car accident. Following two years of rehabilitation, she bravely made the decision to be true to herself and strike out on her own, beginning another "chapter" in her life. What followed was a period of "defining/refining" and a journey of immense joys and challenges. Eventually re-training as a Psychosyntheis Counsellor and also as a facilitator of The Daring Way™, among other facilitative processes. Over the past 14 years Kim, has been involved with Lifeline, had a private practice, was instrumental in the establishment of an Equine Assisted Counselling programme,  organised and facilitated an emergency response for Wanaka, NZ to the Christchurch earthquakes, and participated in many further learnings and trainings with regard to living life more fully and joyfully. Kim has a passion for helping others to tap into their courage and to be all that they can be... their own unique beauty and potential expressed out into this world.  Helping them to live a more connected, joyful life with a greater sense of worthiness, love and belonging. Now based in Clyde, (near Alexandra), New Zealand, Kim is happy to take online or phone consultations.
